Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to promote next month's heavyweight fight.
Former two time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
Despite such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead attacked ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
However, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.
"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers engaged in the traditional face-off, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
