Moscow has escalated attacks on energy facilities over the past few days, while Ukrainian leadership has requested "substantial measures" from partner nations to exert influence on Russia.
"The necessity is not superficial actions but firm measures - from the America, European nations and the Group of Seven - in delivering defensive weapons and enforcing restrictions," was stated in a social media post.
Officials stated that 450 drones and more than 30 missiles attacked energy facilities, labeling such assaults as "strategic and deliberate" and against "critical infrastructure" as temperatures become colder.
The energy minister said Moscow was "launching a major assault" and technical staff were working to fix the damage.
A barrage of missiles struck energy infrastructure and residential structures in Kyiv.
Multiple people wounded in the strikes on the city have been transported for medical care, per statements from city authorities.
Area administrators said the metropolitan region endured intense attacks overnight. A seven-year-old child died and three other people were hurt.
The strikes come after evenings of aerial attacks in the region, parts of which are currently controlled by invading troops.
